Right Path Pain and Spine Center is a service-oriented, family-owned medical practice specializing in pain relief treatments led by Dr. Porter. As highly skilled providers of regenerative medicine, including mesenchymal signaling cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies, we use the most advanced techniques to target inflamed and degenerated tissues. The end result helps relieve your pain and increase your mobility. While medications are sometimes necessary to stop pain, we view them as a last resort and not a permanent solution to your pain issues.

Tom M. Porter, MD
Founder / Medical Director
Tom M. Porter, MD, is a board certified, highly trained and experienced interventional pain physician who treats all painful conditions of the spine and limbs. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Porter attended medical school at The Ohio State University and continued his medical education, completing his medical residency and fellowship training at the University of South Florida. Since completing his training and over the past 20 years in practice, he has established two interventional pain practices in Ohio and Florida, while always maintaining the highest medical standards and creating satisfaction in his patients.
With a lifelong interest in physical fitness and physical health and wellness, Dr. Porter has advanced his practice to provide the most advanced and state of the art procedures and techniques. He has worked as a consultant and educator in the development of technology to perform minimally invasive cervical discectomy surgery and is proficient in minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery. Perhaps even more relevant to the evolving practice of medicine in the United States, Dr. Porter was involved in a Health and Human Services granted IRB study for 2 years utilizing autologous mesenchymal signaling cell therapy. He has provided mesenchymal signaling cell therapy options in his Central Florida practice for the last 7 years and has growing expertise with consistent exciting patient results in this growing and expanding facet of medicine. Per Dr. Porter, “the potential that mesenchymal signaling cell therapy and regenerative medicine presents will likely revolutionize the way that medicine is practiced over the next few decades.” Professionally and because of his experience and training, Dr. Porter has developed treatment protocols that provide relief to those individuals with painful or nagging conditions who have been unsatisfied with other treatments and wish to avoid major surgery, offering treatment options that other practices may not have considered.
Outside of the world of medicine, Dr. Porter enjoys his family and is an avid, or perhaps more accurately amateur, snow skier and has a goal to visit every skiable mountain in the USA. He enjoys participating in athletic activities and is flirting with authorship, among other interests. Central Florida has been Dr. Porter’s home for the last 16 years and he established Right Path Pain and Spine Centers in Davenport in July of 2010 in order to provide state of the art interventions to the population of Central Florida. He has built a helpful and wonderful staff at Right Path and has served thousands of Central Florida residents.
Right Path is the right place for anyone with nagging or degenerative conditions, whether it results from a painful spine condition or osteoarthritis of a joint, or whether it is a retiree wanting to get out on the golf course or tennis court again, a young worker suffering a work injury or motor vehicle accident, or a professional athlete wishing to continue to perform at the top level. In his practice, Dr. Porter believes that interventions and regenerative medicine is intended not only for those suffering intractable pain but also for those who wish to restore or optimize best function. Keep Right Path Pain and Spine Centers, established and directed by Tom M. Porter, MD, in mind for targeted best outcome mesenchymal signaling cell therapies, best care and best options.
